Named stars are indicated in Yellow
Planets are indicated in Medium Blue
Quasars are indicated in Pink - Note that not many of these can be seen as they are typically 8-12 billion light years away! If you check carefully though you may see a couple.
If the name starts with:
- M - then it is an object from the Messier Catalogue
- MQ - then it is an object from the Million Quasar Catalogue
- PGC - then it is an object from the Principal Galaxies Catalogue
- NGC - then it is an object from the New General Catalogue of Nebulae and Clusters of Stars
- LDN - then it is an object from the Dark Nebula Catalogue
- PK - then it is an object from the Galactic Planetary Nebula Catalogue
- SDSS - then it is an object from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Catalogue
- TYC - then it is an object from the Tycho star catalogue
- WISEA - then the object is from the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer
